Still no sunroof from the looks of it. I don't know how many potential custoemrs have left our showroom after hearing there is no sunrood option. Sounds like a minor thing but a deal breaker with some people.
I'd also like to be more economy out of the car. I know it has AWD and all but it should be in the 30mpg range. Honestly, for the power that it DOESN'T have it should use less fuel plain and simple.
I'd like to know if there will be a diesel option in 2010 as well - our dealership heard a rumor that there was one in the works for 2010.
If the Euro Swift comes over in 2010 then the SX-4 better watch out as they'll compete against each other (especially this new "sport" hatch).
At our dealer we sell the sx4's with sunroofs from wabaso. also we have sold sx4's with leather interior also. The new style looks sort of like the rally car. The swift is coming and i believe thats the vehicle that might be with diesel.
The no sunroof issue is because of the roof design. I think they'll address that when the vehicle is redesigned in a couple of years.
We have a couple of diesel SX4s from Europe to test drive and it's pretty cool. I do hope we get the diesel cars sooner rather than later.
I'm just excited for the 6MT.

Is Suzuki upgrading ALL of its 2010 SX4 models (Crossover/Sedan) to the new 2.0-liter, 150-hp engine and six-speed manual or CVT?
Do we know the specific city/highway mpg figures yet?

Sunroofs aren't difficult to add aftermarket. That's what people did before they were common factory offerings.
Our FWD SX4 gets in the 30MPG range on the hwy. We just have to baby it at a steady 55-60MPH...unlike our '00 Civic VP which gets 30MPG+ running from 55-70MPH and back down repeatedly. (The Civic's actually bested 40MPG at a steady 60MPH.) I think the economy is hit because of the SX4's weight and taller profile. I'd be happy with anything around 30MPG in a 4WD model, but the 143HP rating seems ridiculous for a 2.0L DOHC 16V engine in this day and age. Why is it SO much weaker than the similarly-equipped 2.0L Civic Si? The lower redline? Our SOHC 1.6L Civic withOUT VTEC feels slightly peppier than the Suzi, with a rating of just 107HP.
i also think the 2.0L engine should have more horsepower and that by doing so it WOULD increase the gas mileage just because you have to push less on the pedal to get it moving. i also think that the mileage numbers aren't bad right now considering it's AWD and tall. just check how subarus do gas mileage-wise, it's a lot better. we can't compare it to the toyota yaris or the fit cause they don't have awd. i personnally am very happy with the 9.2l/100km(sorry, im canadian)city/highway i'm doing right now, especially considering i have a heavy right foot.
Go to road race motorsports and check out the piggy back ECU they have for the SX4. they have the stock AFR graph on a dyno sheet it's amazing how rich it runs.
