"Research" is one thing.

Reality is another.

Did you read the part about them reducing the interval in Mexico because of high sulfur levels there?

Default Synthetic - Yes! Higher MPG

I switched to synthetic oil at my second oil/filter change. It made a difference of getting 1 more mpg around town and 3 more mpg at 70 mph and 2 more mpg at 75 mph. Acceleration is definitely better.

Now, how often are you going to change it?

I won't push things that far yet but technology in oil and what not is making it better and better. I will go 5K on Dino/Semi or 10K on Syn without a thought.

Unless you are going balls out racing syn realistically buys you more time per service. In full on racing apps you can push things much further.
