2009 Suzuki SX4Clarion Radio vs. iPod
I just purchased a 2009 SX4 and I have been trying to find a way to get my iPhone/iPod hooked up to the factory-installed radio. I have tried the module that Clarion sells and I was disappointed with the functionality of the unit. What I want is a way to hook my iPhone/iPod via AUX so I can control my iPod from the iPod itself and not have to deal with playlist or using the Clarion radio to scroll through 5000 songs. I find it ridiculously that if you want to listen to song number 4999 that you have to scroll through 4998 songs till you get to the one you want.
I like the idea of the AUX in cable that the dealer offers but the only problem is, the GPS unit that comes with the SX4, uses the AUX connection on the back of the radio. The only open slot is the CeNet connection but I don’t want a module as described above.
Does anyone know if there is a way to hook the GPS unit into the CeNet connection so I can free up the AUX connection in order to plug my iPhone in OR, is there a way to split the AUX connection so it can handle both the iPhone and the GPS?
If there is no way to accomplish what I am asking then has anyone swapped out the factory-installed radio and purchased a new one that allows both the GPS (way it is installed in the SX) and iPhone to work?
Thanks for your help!
