Default 2008 SX4 Sedan 6 CD player malfucntion ?

Hello. I have a 2008 SX4 sport touring addition with the 6 CD changer. I have had the same 6 CDs in and playing since I purchased the car in the end of August. 4 of the cd's are CD-R's and one is a regular store bought kind.
My car only has about 1,200 miles on it.

They have all played fine until recently. The cd player would say "read file" and then check cd. Did it for all 6 cds. It was suggested that I take out all 6 cds and reload them. I tried that (but my thoughts were why should I have to do that in the first place) and the worked fine. A few days have gone by with no problems.. But today, i drove to a store.. which is about a 8 min ride , cds played fine.. car sat for 15 mins .. then on the way home in the middle of the song it stopped.. about 5 secs started for a second or two.. then stopped.. did that for a minute then i forwarded to the next song and it started doing the "Read File" then "Check CD" again. Did it again for all 6 cd's. I shut if off.. turned it back on and the CD started playing for about 30 seconds.. then paused again... going back to the messages. The Radio plays fine while the cd changer is doing this.

Sorry this is so long, I stink at explaining things. I was wondering if anyone else has had this happen. I will call my dealer tomorrow .. just hate to have to take it in already if I don't have to.

And so far I love my car!
Thank you

Have you had the problem since then?

One possible problem might be the weather. Sometimes, condensation can build up inside the player, especially on a cold day when the heats on and then you leave it sit for a little while in the cold. After running the car for a while, the problem would probably go away (as the offending moisture evaporates). Not an expert, but I know of it happening in other cars...

Thank you Joey.. I have had it again.. but surprisingly.. with the frigid weather we are having right now (-2 today) it has been working. Though I have started the car up on a cold day.. say 20's/30's and it works fine only to stop working after 30 minutes out of the blue. But the past few weeks.. it been working just fine. I haven't told my dealership yet about it.. though since I posted this, I "heard" from my dad that they closed. But didn't say anything wondering if it was the weather.. I really am not sure if it is or not.. if it continues I will keep this updated.
