Default pros and cons of the sx4 crossover

I am looking into buying the 2009 sx4 crossover touring trim this weekend, but I wanna know what everyone likes and dislikes about their crossover. That way I will get a better idea of what options I want. Thank you.

I owned an SX4 Sport for awhile. I bought it with a 5 speed manual transmission because the automatic heating and air conditioning controls were only available with the manual transmission. I loved the 17" spoke wheels and low profile racing tires.

The automatic heating and air conditioning controls are a must have.

be glad youre thinking of an 09, i bought an 07 and i am jealous of all the features that the 08 and 09 people get on their cars. i have the 07 Base AWD with Convienece Package, which is basically a base model, but with a leather wraped wheel, stereo controls on it, and cruise control.

If they don't have the exact crossover with the features I want does the dealership order one, find one at another dealership, or what? I don't want to settle for less than what I want. How did things go for everyone? Did you guys just pick a car off the lot or did you find a place that had what you wanted?

sorry bought used, so cant help on that - but they will trade around cars to get you the one you want.

but on the crossover itself - i love the little car. it doesnt have the best feul ecconomy of the cars in its class but it does put a smile on my face

i have an 07 crossover sport, 5 spd

My dealer searched the local (central Ohio) area to find a Touring Edition with a 5 speed. It seems most 5 speeds were base models. I took him about a week to deliver the car once I turned him loose. Like Mule noted; my mileage seems low but this car much better road feel than the Fit and it has more features than the Scion with a better price.

The one feature that I now like but wasn't a must have selling feature is the key-less entry. The only thing I don't like is the blind spot the windshield pillar creates. One thing I would like to have offered on the new ones is the heated seat.

Well I'm a short person, about 5'2. And I mostly like driving suvs and trucks cause they are higher off the ground and I like to see the front of the car when I drive. How good will I be able to see since I'm short? With my husbands suv, the seats and the pedats adjust so i wont be so close to the steering wheel. Will that be a problem for me? Later on in a few months my baby bump will be getting big and I don't want to feel cramped, but also not have to stretch to reach the pedals.

let me say the 07 pedals do not adjust. but i do not know if that has changed in 09s or not. i do not have an issue with hood visibility, and i can not speak for others. your best bet is to go down to the dealer and drive it and see what you think.

mcrey made a good point, i love the keyless feature. in recent years i have gotten away from gadgets - but the ability for me to never take the keys outta my pocket to open/run the vehicle I LOVE!!!

I test drove the 2008 sx4 sport with touring package II and I loved it. I could see and fit in it perfectly. LOL I kept thinking the knob for the window washer; I'm used to driving a truck with the gear shift at the steering wheel. It was the only vehicle with the touring II package and keyless entry. I wasn't even picky about the fact that they didn't have all that I originally wanted. The car costs us less then $20,000 and only has 103 miles on it
