Just purchased (Saturday) a 2008 SX4 Crossover AT in sunburst copper with the convenience package. Live in Buffalo, NY. If we had bought it a week earlier we would have some snow to test it out in so it's only been in FWD mode so far. Might have to switch it to AUTO for tonight and the end of the week, though.
Replaced a 1992 Honda Civic DX hatchback with 163K on it! Actually a friend took it for his son to learn on and beat around town in. We pretty much know we'll never get even close to the mileage we've enjoyed for 16 years on the Civic (close to 40mpg in mixed driving in good weather), but this is so much more car with so many more features and options if it lasts us anywhere near as long we'll be ecstatic!!

My mom's family is from Buffalo. I'm sure you'll get to test the AWD plenty of times I've got the same ride and color. Beautiful car and it's more fun everyday.

I'm in Rochester and got mine in November. We got more snow than usual, and I can say this is the first winter I've actually looked forward to and enjoyed driving! It cuts thru the deep snow like a champ, and handles beautifully in the worst of storms. My Camry used to get stuck at least once a year on my steep icy driveway. With the manual SX4 crossover, I don't even need to shovel before leaving for work.
Hi all! Andrew In Cincinnati, Ohio here. Just picked up my Sliver SX4 crossover, Touring package, manual transmission yesterday. Read all your posts about this car before I bought it and I LOVE IT! I got all the toys plus AWD for what I would have paid for a stripped down Toyota Matrix, which was the car I was considering before this. SX4 replaces my '91 Corolla which I bought new and is finally due for retirement. I had to drive to Dayton (about an hour) to get the car I wanted, but it was well worth the trip. I will post my experiences as I spend more time with the car. Thanks for giving me a place to rave about this great little car and all the advice!
Picked my beast up on Friday, and spent the weekend driving around our national parks. Love the car. Got the package with everything in it, and its a pleasure to drive! And somethign that suprised me, it seemed somewhat gutless when I picked it up, but now 400km later its got some oomph to it now!? Maybe just needed a bit of a run-in, who knows.
Hi there. Just ordered my new 08 SX4 Z-Series (Sport I assume) with all the kit and kaboodled bundled therein. Cant wait to get it! Got it in White, as Im hoping to do up some wild graphics on it (I work in design). Taking it camping to Inskip Point this weekend, so will see how the sand handling goes!
Cheers!
Inskip? So you're in Brisbane? Me too!
Let me know how it goes at Inskip will yer? Coz I am doing a Lake MacKenzie trip.
