Head Modifications
I have the head off right now and I think I'm going to get it milled. Does anyone have any recommendations for how much to take off? I'm doing this mainly for flatness, but if you know how much at most can be taken off and what sort of fuel economy gains can be seen, please share.
I'm also thinking of doing some light DIY porting and polishing. I'm just going to match the ports to the intake and exhaust gaskets, polish the exhaust runners and ports, and polish the combustion chamber. Does anyone have any tips for doing any of these things?
