In short: Make sure that crankshaft position sensor is tight enough!
It took me a whole YEAR to figure this out on my 1999 Suzuki Swift. Last summer, I replaced the oil pan gasket and after I got it down off the jack, it had a really hard time starting warmed up there after. After a few years of my life were taken away from thinking about what could have caused the problem and trying every possible "hot start solution", a year later I discovered that my crankshaft position sensor was not quite tight enough. Just a half turn did it. Damn....

Well, now you know, so you dont have to go through the pain and agony I experienced over something so stupid.
