Question 94 Geo Metro 3 Speed Auto Trans Won't Shift

When the humidity and braromerter is high the trans stays in high gear. I have to manualy up shift or down shift untill the car has been driven for a long time and then shut off for a while, then it will shift normaly. I have been told that it is the transaxle control module. The fluid and filter has been changed. Like I said this only happens when it is damp and the humidity and braromerter is high. If any one has had the same problem I would like to know what your fix was.
Thank you.

The shift solenoids are probably the culprit!

Here you go my friend..................

Default 93 METRO transmission problem

My Geo has the same problem, and it also happens with it is humid outside,
I was wondering if you changed the solniod, and if it helped the problem

Hey Guys! My 94 Metro is doing the same thing. I was told it was the trans controler under the dash. I replaced it and no change. Could this solenoid change be the only other thing it could be?

Also, any place in particular to get these solenoids new?

Thanks
