Engine will not turn over

2001 Suzuki Swift
manual trans
110k miles.
Lately I have to turn the ignition key numerous times till the starter kicks in.
I make sure the clutch is in tight as well.
This problem is getting worse.
No engine code light.
Relay switch at clutch?

Does it make a "click" noise every time you turn the key? If so, you have either a loose terminal or connection on the battery, starter, or ground wire or you have a bad starter solenoid.

also notice the lights on the dash... do they go dim? it wouldnt be uncommon for the starter solenoid to go bad. my older geo had that problem. it worked fine after you tapped on it.
