Default Seatcover Interchange - LH & RH Same?

I have a '91 Metro I'm fixing up. The interior is pretty decent with the exception of torn up upholstery on the driver's seat. The PO had a seatcover on it but it was worn out...and I am a pretty big guy so I tend to bunch them up bad. The local junkyard has one Metro which also happens to be a '91 with torn upholstery on the driver's seat...but the passenger seat is in decent shape. If I pull the upholstery off of the passenger seat will it fit on the driver's seat?

Thanks,

Derek

I'm not sure about the 91's but the 93-94 models have the same covers on either side. Just pull out the D rings and swap them over, Ken.

Finally got the time to work on mine some more. I pulled the passenger seat covers off of a '91 in the junkyard, removed most of the wires (oops, missed a couple) and ran them through the washing machine. The passenger cover fit the driver's side pretty good. I had to cut two holes I think on the side for bolts but none of that is very visible so it looks good.

I got the hog rings at a local hardware store for under $4 and used regular pliers to crimp them. When I got the seatcover I cut the rings and stripped the seatback cover off in the yard and took the entire seat bottom...they charged me $5 for that.
