Default Fixing Fender Bender

Hi Guys,
I have had a quick search and can't find anything on this. I am looking at a cheap 91 metro convertible and it appears that the front right side was damaged, and repaired poorly. The front right fender was replace, along with the upper and lower light covers, but not the bumper or hood. Questions are:

1) The repair job is fine, except there is a 1/2" wider gap between the fender and the hood on this right side... can this be fixed?
2) Is there anything else I should worry about based on the type of repair.

Thanks so much! I want to sink my 88 cadillac land yacht and get into something a little friendlier on the environment.

It sounds like the unibody was damaged, If you reallly want to fix it right take it to a frame shop and let them straighten the body, other wise it is fine, it does not pull left or right does it?

Thanks for the quick reply. So nothing can be done in a home garage?

Default Home Repair

Lance is correct and if unibody has been damaged you could have future problems with Tire-wear, etc. There is a "chance" that they've straigtened it enough to avoid this but have left it kinked and not got measurement correct at front. If it's only the gap you're worried about you can make adjustment to the hood to make the gaps equal on both sides. You may also be able to reduce the gap a little by moving in/out fenders about 1/8" as long as it doesn't then create Headlight fitment issues.
