Default Which Metro is best for Gas Mileage?

So I'm looking at giving my 1996 Honda Accord to my parents in exchange for a Geo Metro of some sorts. I am looking at a 1.0L 5 speed to get the best mileage, but I'm wondering which years would be best for getting the most mpg. For example, I know that some cars are carbed vs fuel injected.

Thanks

you're on the right track with the 1.0L w/5-spd. ...on average the fuel-injected cars get a little better gas mileage than those carbed.

Find a Car

i've found some interesting stuff on there. for example a 1991 metro XFI gets a 43/51 according to updated epa guidelines, while originally it was claimed to get 53/58. meanwhile the regular 1991 metro only gets 37/45 or 45/50 originally..... yet both have a 1.0 Liter 3 cyl. and manual trans.

The XFi was designed for fuel efficiancy and gets the best MPG of all the models while base models are close in comparison.

The Metro XFi has a different camshaft and computer and a lighter curb weight.

That's exactly what I want. Does anyone know of a xfi that is for sale, I'm willing to spend up to $1500.

What is XFi?

I have a '95 Suzuki Swift with 5sp manual trans and the 1.3L 4cyl. I get 41 mpg highway consistantly.

I would look in E-bay or car tradder for starts.
