Metro Injection

91 geo metro 5 speed is not getting a negative pulse to the injector. It will run if a test light provides the injector with a ground to the frame. The ECM should provide the negative ground, right? ECM and distribitor were tried in another car, where they worked fine. Is the problem in the wireing, or am I missing something? Thanks.. Gerry

what terminal is ground on Metro? If "-" is grounded then the solenoid coil of the injector will be energezed with "+" from ECM.

Thanks for the info. I guess what I really need to know is how to identify the wire, at the ECM, that controls the injector ground. My manual does not tell me. Gerry

the two wires in the injector are:
1. yellow - comes from fuel injector resistor at the left rear of engine compartment
2. yellow/black - comes from ECM point 12 - injector control
