Driver side floorboard is sooked???

I search this forum for realting info ,but no find ,does anyone ,or has anyone found out were the water is coming in on the GEO ,Its got me puzzled ,now i had just cut out the carpet and pad ,cuz it just stays wet ,put rubber mat over floor ,this is my 1st GEO and 1st front wheel driver car and working at getting the bugs out ,any info on this water issue and any other stuff i may be informed of would be much apreciated ,,,yr local longhair terry

First thing to check (if you haven't already) is to see of Radiator is full ...primary source of water on front floor is likely to be from a bad Heater Core but if your not loosing water from the Cooling System then that's okay. Easier to determine if you can localize ...if coming in when raining with car parked it could be coming from lower Windshield-seal or Cowl-seal. If it gets weter when driving, it could also be front or lower portion of side-door seals.
