Cylinder Head Oil Passages
I'm a new guy trying to put my 1998 Suzuki Sidekick 1.8L 4X4 back together!!! It's been frustrating but fun.
I've never done this before, so please bear with me:)
I've had the cylinder head off and machined. I got it back on there and am now attempting to install the camshafts, however:
The first thing the Chilton says to do is to "Fill the oil passages of the cylinder head with clean oil by pouring oil through the oil holes. Ensure that the oil comes out from the oil holes in the sliding in the sliding part of the valve lash adjuster bores."
What are they talking about here? Is is the holes like these?:
Each valve lash adjuster bore has little holes in the side of them above the valve spring (16 in all), do I need to fill each one until full?
What about the holes on the front end of the cylinder head?
I hope this makes sense, please let me know if you all need any other information.
I really wanna get this right the first time!!!!
Thanks in advance:)
