Some reading for you. Hopefully you have the plug and it's in the same location.

the trailer connector should be about 30cm up the main harness (forward) from the plugs in the picture. If it has not been disturbed, it is taped to the harness with blue tape. (At least the ones I have seen are blue.)

It will have all six cavities filled.

ok lads i went back at this again today seen as ive got some spare time after the winter.. i checked the harness all the way along and cant find anything i even removed the side panels and looked in where the seat belt is stored in the side of the car,, i cant see anything only those green connectors on ether side.. there is a scrapped jeep down in the scrap yard i might try pull the wiring from the rear of it and make my own harness if its the same.. as i dont want to butcher the wiring in my car

Here is a picture of the plug:

More information can be found on my blog: Mike's Projects: TracKick Trailer Connector

"... a scrapped jeep ..." Do you mean an actual Jeep branded vehicle? Or are you using "jeep" as a generic term and it is a TracKick in the scrap yard?

I doubt that anything will work from an actual Jeep, but you might find some interesting connectors on a TracKick. (See my blog linked above.)

thanks very much..

the plug you pictured is nowhere to be found in my escudo along the rear arches etc,, ive checked all along it even removing the panel that allowed that picture you linked to be taken..

there is a scrapped suzuki vitara in the local scrap yard.. if the wiring is the same as mine im going to remove it.. i will join the trailer wiring to it and join it to the original plugs that are already in my jeep so im not cutting any of the original wiring.. i presume it will work.. see pic of the plugs i plan on removing from scrapped vitara

hi everyone i got sorted after.. the wiring in the scrapped vitara was the same as mine so i cut it out and joined it to the harness for the trailer wiring.. i took a few pics to help people in the future that might need to do the same... i had to cut no wiring in my jeep so it will save it.. the harness then joins in between the wiring on my jeep where the two arrows are pointing at in my previous post no.9

the green wire in the picture was ran from my right side indicator over to the left side of the car where the wiring harness is..
