Default 33920-56b40 ECU information.

Hello guys, i'm trying to find the specs of the 33920-56b40 ECU but i can only find sellers on ebay and other pages, i would like to know it's capacity, how much ram it got, what protocol it uses, schematics, etc.

Do any of you know where could i find that kind of stuff?

Do a search on this site for Rhinoman, he's in the UK, but accessible here, and knowledgeable on ECM function/design/limitations.

EDIT: PM him, he's at the 9th post at this thread.

It has enough RAM, more than enough ROM and its fast enough to meet all the required emissions regulations. What do you have in mind?

I would like to see if it's possible to connect it to some kind of tablet where i could display the sensors data, just a mod i tho would be cool to do. I found a blog about a guy that did something similar with a lcd display (GM OBD-I (OBD1) ALDL Microcontroller LCD Interface, Scan Tool | Luke Skaff). Since i don't know enough about the ECU i was trying to find information about it.

The diagnostic protocols are proprietary to Suzuki and I'm not allowed to publish them, I sell a diagnostic interface which works with a Windows device:

Suzuki Scan Tool

Most of the integrated circuits in the ECU were automotive devices that weren't available to the general public and no datasheets are available. I have reverse engineered all of them and have published a partial datasheet for the processor here:

76xxx Processor Datasheet

I also built a prototype daughterboard for bench testing that allowed me to run my own test code on the ECU and to trace code execution on a logic analyzer:

I will add (much as I hate Windows) that I am a satisfied Rhino customer. It's a great tool to have.....
