Break out the DVOM or test light. First connect the light to a known good ground and check the contact at the center of the lighter it should be hot 12v in Acc & On key positions. Check fromm the known good positive (battery termenal) to the sides of the lighter, this should have a good ground all the time. Or with the DVOM check from the sides to the known good ground to pull up 0.00v anything higher indicates a lack of ground. If either is missing pull the pannle and remove the lighter by unscrewing a large retaining nut from the back. check to see that both wires are connected, now dis conect them and check for power & ground. If iether of these turn up fualty get a wireing diagram and start checking up stream untill you find the problem. Also look for system that share power suplies or common ground points to see that they still work. Noah
