We did a brake job on Saturday and the axle seals on one side is leaking as well. Needs a full diff/axle rebuild/seal kit. That issue coupled with the missing half shaft and the look of the u-joints, I am going to seek out a SAMI / SUZUKI trained mechanic, hopefully an off-road nut from the local SAMI club, Zuks of Arizona, check it out.
I might even get an estimate to add some inexpensive lockers (if available) so I can go anywhere.
If anyone has any leads or referrals, it will be appreciated. Once my membership in the local club is approved, I am sure I will find someone. I want to get out on the TRAIL!
let the front seal leak, usually is just weep.. nothing serious.
and very hard to correct. (it has this crush device,, avoid it, ask why)
my bet is the bearings going out and beat the seal to death.
or use a kotex there (battle dressing) and stop the drip that way.
check fluid, ever other engine oil change....no biggy.?
get a rebuild (or used )3rd member. gear carrier.
any machine shop can do the axles, in hand. ask em...
or dedicated suspension shop. Zuk didnt invent axles, they are NORMAL.
