Default 2 Inch Wheel Spacer Completion

Hi guys,

So I bought the 2 inch wheel spacers made of billet aluminum from ebay. The problem I ran into was that my studs were far too short for the spacers lug nuts that came with it.

I researched getting new studs, but that would have been a project. So for anyone putting wheel spacers on a sidekick I'd recommend going to brandsport.com

I found these specialized lug nuts that fit inside the wheel spacer with a tapered end.

12mm x 1.25 E/T Ultra Mag Seat Lug Nuts, Wheel Locks & Lock Sets

This was helpful for me to actually get some turns onto the stud and really get it down tight.. over 80 ft/lbs of torque

This is the after pictures I attached here. I didn't find anywhere on this forum that was too instructive on wheel spacers. The thread I commented on a while back was pretty vague. So I did plenty of research on wheel spacers so I hope this is helpful.

Does it handle better? I started to get some spacer plates, but I couldnt find anything with the bolt pattern. I was on the fence about using the spacer washers you see at the auto stores like autozone, but ultimately decided with a larger tire.

Don't use the spacer that spaces the tire further out on the studs. It is dangerous and put massive strain on the wheel studs. If you use a spacer use the kind like the OP got. The kind that bolt to the wheel hub and the wheel bolts to the spacer.

I purchased a set of Spidertrax 1" wheel spacers. They're not cheap, but they fit perfectly and I'm happy with them. I didn't want the extra weight of steel wheels or the expense of new alloy wheels and since my OEM alloy wheels are in good shape, this was a reasonable compromise to get a wider track.

I finally got the 1 inch urthene coil spring spacers in so my rear tires dont rub the fenders. Its like a whole new car driving it. I get some funny things going over 60mph. I had my tires rebalanced and front end aligned before hand. For tires they went from weights on both sides to just the back side. I am thinking of asking them to rebalance them the old fashing way with weights on both sides.

Other than that its a much nicer ride, little to no roll in the corners like before.

So i decided to remove the wheel spacers. I had the 2" ones bolted up to the original stud. I was told by multiple people that although they do make the ride more stable, they increase the wear and stress on the studs and the bearings. I am going to save the spacers for when I am finally able to get extended studs. Just thought this might be helpful for someone who is thinking about it. I'm mildly regretting spending the money originally, but I figure it's better to just suck it up and live with it. We all have old cars so we should just focus on keeping them safe/running. My 2 cents lol

I just bought some new wheels from 4wheelparts.com. I got pro comp 52 series rock crawlers with a 2.5" backspacing This should make them stick out quite a bit to fit with my fender flares. I called in because I wanted normal shaped acorn chrome lugs and they didn't have squat on their site. After calling in, he found me $1 chrome lugs and $3 black center caps that aren't listed on the site. Here is the invoice:
