re: will this tire fit
well after much hand wringing i pulled the trigger on getting a set of hercules 7.00-15 bias plys. i have been running my street radials off road and been skeered all the while. i couldnt fing what i wanted and at a good price (140.00 mounted and balanced) so now i got em and they fit gud, no lift yet and havent been off road hard yet but will this weekend. these should take rocks and mud easly and i will throw on a 1 inch body lift very soon just to be safe. they howl on the hyway and have to turn the radio up just a bit. the gearing is diff also, the speedo is 5 mph off and now need to climb 5% grades in 2nd and 3500 rpm which gives me 50 instead of 45 with the radials (205/75r/15) these tires are just under 30 inches tall and just over 7 inces wide, the tred is wider than my radials but the sidewalls are narrower. the braking is a bit harder or slower to stop so will have to watck it. im gonna have some fun with these knarly sob's. gonna have to be carfull with the tranny cause these wont spin easely. played in the yard a bit and 4 wheel low felt good. these arent for daily driving and still have my radials on their rims. dont care about the milage. these are work play tires. its hilly here in bullhead city arizona, laughlin, nevada and probably will be using and staying in 2nd alot just to be easyer on the tranny. the geo is my only daily driver so i have to be nice to it. cant wait to take these to fantan lake at the top of the world wyoming. remember the pic of the brown trout? gonna tear up quartzite arizona in january. i used to run these same tires on my 65 tbird in 67,68,69,70 in northern wisconsin, never got stuck.not skeered anymore.jim
