How To Tow?

I am getting varied instructions on how to tow my 94 Suzuki Sidekick 4W, 5 speed manual transmission behind my motorhome. One source says to tow in 2nd gear, with the transaxel in neutral with the key in accessory mode. A friend who tows one says he puts both the transmission and transaxel in neutral with the key in the accessory mode when he tows. I would appreciate any help with this based on experience and thanks!

I tow mine four wheels down, following the instructions in the Tracker owner's manual. The manufacturer knows best, so put the transfer case in neutral, the transmission in second and the key in the accessory position and stop every 200 miles to idle the engine for a minute or two. When you idle it, leave the transfer case and transmission as you would for towing.
