Default Two questions for the masses...

1995 Geo tracker 1.6L 16 valve 5 speed 4WD.

Q1 There is a wire loom coming out of the rear differential... It comes out of the pinion area then runs up the A arm, along the frame brace, then along the frame rail on the driver side... There are wires with a connector on it... Any ideas what it is for?

Q2 Would not hooking that wire up cause the brake warning light to illuminate all the time?

Thank you in advance!

After looking it up it looks to be exactly what it is and why the light is on. When I was rushing to reassemble I didn't find the connector right away so I didn't hook it up. I will have to take the driver's tail light off and find the connector.

Thanks

Its the RWAL speed sensor which determines the speed of the rear axle and sends that info to the RWAL controller that is on the driver's side firewall. It works off of voltage. The white wire on it connects to the connector behind the driver's side rear wheel well.

Thanks, I'll check it out. I know the stupid thing plugged in somewhere but I must have over looked it.

Found the plug it was hiding behind the larger plug *face palm*

So out of curiosity are there any threads or articles to explain RWAL more? This thing doesn't even have power steering and I have some form of ABS?
