You had a 1994 Sidekick with a carburetor? Or was it a Samurai? From what I understand, at least for US market cars, carburetor was not available in the 1.6 engine (only 1.3, and I think those were available in the Sidekick only very early on). Was your car brought in from a different market?

Hi, we bought it at a car lot in PA. ran it for 123 thousand miles before the trans gave out. since then we have had two different 95 trackers our current on has 120 thou on it.
I am sure that it was a 1.6 with a carbourater. I even remember trying to adjust the carbourater and had to drill out the caps to get at the screws. I believe that the car came from Canada. It was a good vehicle at the time. It also had an electric fuel pump that i had to change once. I could not get one from Chevy so I got an off brand one from a parts store. Now that you have me thinking about it i remember that it was a strange vehicle. I could not get many engine/tuneup parts from chevy. something about the vin number didn't match anything in Chevy's books. May be it was an experimental vehicle that got lost in the system somewhere. Anyway that was like 10 years ago and that vehicle is probably crushed and is part of some other car that is also junk by now.
