I purchased a set, and recieved them last week... I have yet to install them, but they look AWESOME to me... it turned bitter cold here so it may be awhile before i get them installed... will keep you posted on how they fit....
I'm bumping this up to say that the first prototype of the side window clip has been made. It has not undergone any testing yet, but after I get the time to test it, I'll offer those for sale here as well!
Best wishes for 2013 to all!

hey do you think you'll be able to produce the side plastic soft window holder. i got a 95 tracker and have broken the side zipper window holder, it attaches to tracker and the side plastic window slides unther neat to hold it. it is about 3/4 to 1 inch in height but about 8-12 inches long has 3 screw hole in it to hold it in place.
it is hard plastic, i know you are limited in your current 3d printer but you mentioned you may upgrade the printer.

If I were to upgrade, I would have the capability to produce that part, but I have no idea if it would be feasible to produce on a large enough scale to offer for sale here -- it would probably be cost prohibitive on the buyer's side due to the amount of time it would take to produce.
There's a guy who made a replacement from aluminum. I have connections with a machine shop and could design up an aluminum part and have a run manufactured if there was enough demand, however.

good idea, will have to wait till it warms up to remove top, i took a better look the other day and noticed it is alot longer than that, so, i'll take it to my brother-in-law body shop and see if he can fix it with chemical he has for plastic repair, seem it is only broken below 2 screw holes.

As an aside, I never snap my fiberglass rod into these clips - I slide it through. This way the clip never expands and weakens. These clips are like hens' teeth. Good luck with the fabrication - will be very handy (to others, as well) if successful.
I'm sure that very shortly these clips will be as rare as hen's teeth. For now, they can still be ordered. You can use the original clips as templates for fabrication. The part numbers below are for my 1989 Sidekick:
7838160A00 - Corner clip for rear side window
7855460A00 - Left or right clip for rear window rod
7855560A00 - Center clip for rear window rod
035410512A - Screws (two per clip)
I ordered a corner side window clip a few years ago to replace a broken one. Recently, I ordered a complete set as a precaution. I plan to work on my soft top this spring and want to have a few spares. They are available from Suzuki Car Parts Catalog Online Store.
That's great that they are still available from Suzuki for the time being! I may have never designed the clips had I known this 4 months ago.
In response to this, and due to several design tweaks, I'm now offering a lifetime warranty for members of this community for the new design (and retroactive for those who have purchased them early on). We'll let the market decide which options are more viable. I think my materials are superior and less prone to become brittle over time, hence the guarantee.
I also have 8 of the old clips in my stock at this point that I'll let go cheaper, as I want them gone. If you want all 8, I'll let them go for 40 bucks, and a sliding scale for lesser quantities.
