my guess, is you didn't ask for parts by ATP P/n or at Suzuki by exact P/N? right>?

shows up on napa on line.. sure does.....
did you use the ATP part number? at NAPA?
or look on line at NAPA.
ATP lists it. for a 3speed, in there ecatalog, online, just now....

Ask GM. they made your car at the CAMI plant, ask them , suzuki did not make your car, ( i guess that Mr Goodwrench don't play on Ttrackers too good,,,, sad to say,...)
you need to realize that you cant get all the parts from a dealer after. 20 years.
we now see:
all dealers out of stock on this part
we see Delco and Beck and Dorman drop this part. (last 5 years.)
ATP was the last chance garage part, i'd run with finding that by p/n.


this car is old. if walk in to a store and say, 92 tracker, you will only see 1/2 the parts for sale.
that is right, they dont support these cars very well.
if you need parts ask people here, how to find them, and not the young kids behind , + sick data bases..
in your case i found a Suzuki cable. and linked it. (yours pn was for a 4speed, and was wrong. and suz. is out of them)
then found the only aftermarket maker, ATP
and pn.
you have 2 paths.

i posted the sw suzuki link to the $100 cable. (on my linked page too) for 3speed, you were using the wrong PN/ 4sp = 28250-61A50 (all years 89-98) < WRONG ! cable ! out of stock is a moot point, it's the wrong cable......
did you ask them if that is in stock? the correct PN? its on line as , in stock. see links. above.

it will only get worse.... they have a continuing, lack of parts, even back in 2008 they told me these parts i just bought from the inside of my tranny were the few last parts in the whole USA> (3 warehouses)
some parts are going Discontinued.. they only are legally bound to do 8 years, not 20.
just be ready..

you need to tilt the tranny. (or off the oil lines)
there is no other way ,save a plasma cutter.

Thank you XXX for the links, i saw the sears link it went to Jackson, i called them and the number went to music sounds like a scam, i got the part number for my cable 15940-61A00,
i do have a lead on a OEM for $80 ,guy is checking his parts shelf only 2 hrs away, i know trying parts is a challenge, i just thought people or a business would buy up a dealer of their old stock and re sell them like Ford and Chevy had people who bought all the old innovatory up.
i restored a 1971 Ford Galaxie Conv and tying to find parts for that, i spent 2 years looking for wheel lip molding that cost me $900 and the only set in the country and $100 for a swing away key cover,i end up selling and buying my Ranchero,
i noticed manufactures would never think that a car would out last its life span.i also collect arcade games, and talking about trying to find parts, they do not make tube's any more,computer chips are coming non existent, i sold off my collection because.

yes, my 61 HOnda is like that, rare parts like you have no idea..... (ive done many 70s but 60s are a bummer)

yes, the cables are getting hard to find, every year (going going, gone)
but amazon has it. and they dont lie about that. they have great online
inventory status from my experience.
just order it.
owning relic cars are not really DD cars. they are down for parts way too long.
defeats the whole purpose.

you found a GM part, really? they told me last one in Tenn.

it is a shame when the parts dry up ,then they will have to be made, i have been enjoying old cars for many years,like so many cars they will be like the modle T of our era sad but true, Suzuki part at a dealer and yes i am going to buy a back up, i did find my fuel lines $100 each so am going to order them

yes those banjo stock lines are pricey.
