Transmission leak

there are 3 cables
which one leaks....
shifter (no its not in oil)
kick down. TV. to rear of 3L30 (the cable cant leak oil.) but the rear seal can.
and
speedo (goes to transfer case) 4wd (sure can leak GL4) 2 seals (3 counting cable)
all 3 are covered in that manual.

i see there are 2 TV cable ends figure 21, and 22 , on 7a21 page (ok that drawing is wrong its just a side bracket, the photo dont show the continuation of the cable
look at figure 22 and tell me how that cable can leak.?




that is a factory manual and graphic drawings showing in great detail what to do .

thanks, its really the TV leaking ! i just wasnt sure...
the -oring, the cables it self or both.
and most clones from china leak now or will soon..
the suzuki parts are best... look for brand names.

i was looking at the location where the cable is and trying to figure out how to do this in a tight area but it looks the best way is to drop the trans a little.

dropping the cross member is mentioned many times in the fsm, but oddly
not in the TV steps.
there are 2 oil lines that can be removed too.
dropping the tranny can be done ,that is tilting it down at the rear.

use trolly jack under tranny cross member. and slower after the four outer bolts are removed, let it drop just enough to do the work.
just be careful the dizzy does not hit the fire wall the FSM warns of that too
saying to but wood behind dizzy. base.
ive had to do this in 5sp to replace those confounding top robber plugs. that leak.

I have no idea what you told them, (car, VIN , or pn , did you ask by Part number or vin# did you tell them how many speeds the trans has?)

you never said I HAVE a 3speed, only clue is mod valve not leaking, which is a 3sp only item. but , was that really a mod valve, IM not looking.... so...
point 2 , you used a 4sp cable part number
if you looked at my hard to buy page. you will see all pit falls here, you made 2 bad turns. maybe 3.

did you ask them the correct qestion, ?
example
i have a side kick with 3speed , you lie. ( i really dont know what you have, you never did say, or show a photo, or red my tranny ID page)
and ask for the TV/kickdown, detent cable.
and get a correct response. (Lie only about SUZUKI brand) do not state your vin, make some excuse if ask, cars at my dads house 100 miles away.. what ever.

did you? do that?
your car is no suzuki, so you must play the game. and take all the RISKS
you wont like the price of dealer parts, id bet. so just avoid them.... if that is true....
if risk adverse. try NAPA or GM.

sorry 3 speed, i tried my local auto store PepBoys, Advanced auto neither have no listing for the cable,i also tried calling 10 Suzuki dealers no luck,they told me they do not have a data base to search all US dealers, i also tried to find 2 fuel lines the guy told me they stopped selling them due to them pulling out of the US, what about a Chevy part number? i prefer OEM if i can find the part

i did call NAPA he will call me back, (it been 2hrs) Napa carries ATP i will call SW to confirm stock, i searched on line and you are correct ATP is the only player in town for that cable, Dorman i think they would be my very last choice due to the quality,

tried 3 NAPA stores ,nada zip ,no stock, discounted so am i to assume ATP discounted the cable??? am going to drive down to my local dealer and see what they have in stock
