you sure? go to autozone or a couple of other big name part stores. they will hook up your car battery to a device that will tell you if the battery or alternator or both are bad. do it now, because the testing requires a well-charged battery. it's free and then you'll know where to start looking. could be as simple as bad connections or bad wire/ground. get the free test first though.

it certainly is possible that you got a bad alternator right out of the box. what happened that you needed to get a new battery and alternator? this same reason? if you don't want to go to the store to check it out, put a voltmeter on the battery and read voltage, should be close to 12volts. then turn on the vehicle and again put the voltmeter on the battery and read voltage. if it is significantly higher, it is charging (14.x volts or so)

i know for a fact that the alternator is not charging my battery because i hooked a voltmeter before i started the car and it was around 12.2 then i hooked it up with the car on and the volts went down

It is practically impossible or 5 new alternators to be bad. So it must be something with the wiring or the ground. You need to check/trace your wiring, one by one.

they do the fast charging for free too, takes about 45 minutes if your battery is still good and rechargeable. if it isn't, you'll need a new battery anyway, so I'd get one and have them test it again in the parking lot, battery and alternator. how new is the current battery? is it a sealed type or can you open to fill with distilled water to the full mark? a dry battery will not work. hope that's it.
