Default need oppinions

ive had my 98 sidekick for a while but im gettind tired of stock. me and sum friends work on cars in the summer and its my cars turn. it looks just like this with a soft top.

now i can take this one of to ways. but idk what all will work. Will the gold trim all the way around the vechicle come off? if so

option1 is drop the car down, body kit, cut the cat and glass pack?

if this option... will the body kits that fit on sidekicks 88-95? like this one Geo Tracker Body Kit
if the trim were to come off?

option 2 is trying to convert it to this

I have no clue where to find an external rollcage or half the parts

I JUST NEED OPINIONS, dont no much about sidekicks, and i dont no everything about cars like my friends do but im learning

just tell me what u guys think i should or could do. kinda sucks how everything seems to fit 97s but not 98s. please help a new member out and thank u

I suppose it depends what you want to use the car for. Obviously, if you are into offroading at all, the Duraflex product wouldn't really work, and if I was going for a lower to the ground look, I would probably actually lower the car - better handling, etc.
However, the second look in your post is what I personally really like (especially the electric winch and snorkel),. But you don't have to go that far with that look. The tracker roll bar (stock) is meant to hold the weight of the car, so it's not really necessary (other than the look). I don't know about the gold trim, or whether this was part of an option package. Maybe someone else knows. But if it isn't removable, then painting it the same as the body color would work. The body for the tracker only had real minor changes until 1999, so many of the things on the 97 could probably work on yours. So, a lot depends on how you plan to use the Tracker. For me, I like look #2.

Pic 2 awesome. Not to hijack your thread but do they make overhead light kits for Tracks or is that something the owner put together??

the lightbar looks homemade, you can see the tube clamps holding the lights on the rollbar.

hey 73igShoT
look man as also a noob in the sidekicks/tracker customizing options i would recommend the second pic because the is not really as fast or slick car as the tuners or those exotic cars, especially if you have 4x4 then you should take advantage of it. that's just my opinion but both options are a good...........

Just do it one thing at a time. I started with the suspension lift and then the body lift. Here in a week I am going to build my bumpers and mount my winch. One thing at a time and make sure it is the way you want it before going on to another part.
