Default Injector Fuel Rate

I am trying to find the fuel rate and pressure of the stock injectors in a 96 Sidekick 1.6L 16valve MFI. I am trying to setup an aftermarket ECU. Can anyone help me with this?

send one to witchunter.com , $18 clean and back comes flow rate spec.
real rate,not est.

i have the rates on TBI but not MPI 16v.
if you get this data, i will put it on my parts page.
efn you agree.

cheers. (im going the CAN bus MS4 , when its deployed)

WitchHunter Performance - Injector Cleaning & Flow Testing Services

i have a ms3 now ,want a 4.

i want it all to work , including ISC . (no EGR, no evap, no anything but MPG)

but I will help you the best I can! I can't see or hear/feel your motor, so consider my answers, in that light.

There are 2 diagnostic paths, one with tools and one without! Please advise which path you wish to take?

required fuel. with the MS that is one of the first questions. you must calc.

this is the max, fuel rate , worse case. (including WOT N/A and WOT Turbo.)

i had mine on a TBI 8v motor and made a PNP harness for it.

other trick is you can find other injectors off other motors that fit your stock manifold.
higher CC rate.

I sold the TBI car.

if you are going to run boost or are going to run higher than stock fuel pressures.
you need to ask the injector tester guy (witchunter) to test it at what ever pressures
you are running. ( this is backwards but.... we dont have below)

(as you know some ppl run diff. setups, like 2 rate and rising rate pressures)

on other fourms you can find the MFG name and part num. for your injectors and then contact the MFG and get the full spec page showing performance at all pressures.
naturally this is the best practice , so you can have good starting point.

motor man has injectors, online.
if we just had the oem mfg. name and partnumber , youd have something to track.

if anyone knows, its these guys
TeamSwift • Index page

you can read about the pit falls , on turbo apps. forever here.
Best is "PLAN "B" for when you GO LEAN under boost" No plan B?, motor is a dead duck.
answer: real time monitors for for this and multi-path solutions. (cut spark is on top list)
I'd recommend a live real time boost pressure sensor and fuel pressure sensors.
detecting Detonation is TOO LATE.
many posts of bent rods , search the phrase, 10lbs boost.

weak rods, hollow crank.

consider the run G16 GTI turbo's , and this motor had forged pistions and crank.
and is rarer than hens teeth .

if you decide to go to high fuel pressures , then there are programs (algorithms)that you can run (ms has them) and determine your new max flow on stock injectors.
but you need the spec on your injector first.
the flow rates are not linear either, 2x pressure does not result in 2x flow.
sorry. (the injector type dictates that ).

just some ideas, hope it gets you on a path.

cheers.

PS: ( i found this comment) below (Baleno= Esteem in USA)
Hi there,
I "assume" the Vitara injector would be the same as the one in a 1.6 Baleno (G16.

The OEM Baleno injectors are a 250cc/min item.
Green injector.

above see graphic , he made a drawing, if you do that , things get lots easier.
size, color, markings, car, engine size, mpi , connector type, COIL OHMS.
write that down and you can do research.

fun to read the crazy , questions.
can i just put on larger injectors and get more power.

sad. huh?
( if you flow more than ecu KNOWS. then it goes rich as a pig at all RPM and loads)
ECU will drop closed loop ,(rich as pig)
and then start guessing. it has a table for that and is even more RICH.
so now you are double rich.
thought id post that here for the dreamers, want free power for no money.

no free lunch for power. sorry.

EG: grabbing some free injectors and the local , YOUPICK-em.
