Default Neutral safety switch bypass surgery

If the starter seems to be lacking juice to start my '96 Tracker Auto, could the neutral safety switch on the tranny be bypassed to eliminate that as a possible trouble spot? What do you think???

I would think that is just a patch job that hides an underlying problem. If you post all details of your car, 8v/16v, etc., etc., and details of symptoms you are having, any tests that you have run, voltage, etc., then forum can try to fix the real problem that you are having. IMHO!!

Sorry about that. '96 Tracker 16V, 1.6L, auto, 4wd, 4dr-HT, Canadian (?).
New starter, new battery, clean terminals, hot to the starter. All electrics work with switch on but zero starter action in start position. I suspect that the ign. switch or neutral switch is the problem. I bought a remote switch that I'll connect to the solenoid "HOT" cable and the solenoid small terminal. But, even if it cranks, I still won't know what the actual problem is. If there's a way to bypass things, then I could isolate the bad part.

OKAY! HERE'S THE LATEST NEWS FLASH!! I connected the remote starter and it cranked instantly! So, that tells me that I need to check for continuity in the small solenoid wire from ign. switch (which I'm sure must go through the neutral switch). That still leaves me with the question as to whether the tranny neutral safety switch can be bypassed.
