I just purchased a '94 Geo Tracker 2 door hardtop 4WD and the CV boots on both sides are torn. Through past experience, I have found that I am better off installing the complete replacement axle rather than just the boots. None of the local suppliers in the Seattle/Tacoma, Washington area were able to find either axle for a '94, but did have axles for later models? It is my understanding that the Trackers weren't changed that much in the following years and I expect that the later model axles are the same as the '94? Can anyone confirm this for me and what brand/year of axle they would recommend? I am also searching for the "experienced information" regarding changing these axles, hopefully without disassembloing the ball joints, A-arms etc. as I was able to do with my '95 4Runner. Someone on one of the Yota sites had a writeup with pictures which made the job doable with a minimum of disassembly. Thank you in advance! Email me if anyone comes up with the help I need.
