crank sensor leaking oil
Hello. I have a '96 U.S.A. geo tracker with 1.6 L 16 v sohc. no check engine light on. it runs fine. but it has started leaking oil from the crank position sensor. from around the edges, not the connector. there is no seal on it and none called for in manuel. so my question is should there be oil on top of the sensor or should it be dry. maybe a seal on the front under timing cover that is leaking. I have asked all of our local shops and dealer and no one has had much expeirence with the engines. Thanks, D.A.S.
