I'm on the market for some rims/tires, and am trying to decide on some sizes.
I'd like to stick to a 15" rim, and am looking for a thinner winter-rated tire, in probably around a 31" or so total diameter. Again, looking for something that will be thin enough to bite into snow, and a winter rated compound (stud-able preferably).
Recommendations? I've heard good thing about Goodyear Wranglers, for the price, performance, stud-ability, and reduced road noise. This is for my winter daily driver (heavy snow + extensive long drives trail/highway/city) / weekend wheeler.
Again I'm looking to keep my budget down. I'm balancing the build budget I've allocated to myself between body/armor/suspension/lift/tires/turbo setup, so I'm not looking for anything too crazy. Just a nice balance for my needs, in a smaller width.
Something like this setup is what appeals to me... both tire size, width, and general stance. But, I am used to a stretched 205/40/17 on a 9" rim... don't have the eye for the 4x4 game yet, haha...
...Any guesses on tire size?
