Load Sensing Proportioning valve (LSPV)
Hello to all. New member from Kentucky and I have a 1996 2 door tracker 4 cylinder 5 speed. I have just been told my LSPV brake valve is leaking and must be replaced. This can only be bought at a Chevy dealer at a cost of $487.00 and it comes from Colorado warehouse. Here's where I need your help. Can I go to a junk yard and jerk one of these off and put on mine? To me it should work. My mechanic said no. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanking you in advance. OH, tracker is in great shape with 80,000 miles. No ABS.
