i'm planning to have my exhaust system custom made for 2 reasons save money and have a better system,i know the guy from the muffler shop so if i bring the muffler and my cat he can do it for $125
i don't care about sound to be honest the quietest the better, don't want to go over 2" for the back pressure issue and cost
so far i think of this muffler
Dynomax 17716 Turbo Muffler
and this cat
magnaflow 91004
what you guys think?

Just buy a cheapo glasspack and don't waste the money. I recently had exhaust work done. I did not replace the cat, so i have and older cat(newer than the tracker...all i know) and a new glasspack and noise is not an issue.
I have the same magnaflow too and love it, you can usually get a used one on ebay or cragislist. I wanted a valid warranty so I got it here. Magnaflow 49047. Also some of the forum sponsors selling magnaflow usually have a sale going on. Either way its a great cat, sounds great, and very easy to install.
read up on how the EGR wroks and needs that cat back pressure, to function.
the ecu will not be happy ever again. (unless this car has some special ecu for E01 market Nippon export, not likely , huh?)

I just ordered everything 2" for my 16v Tracker. Making a custom header (1.25" weld-els, 1.38" ID) with a tube conneting to the EGR passage then 2" from the header flange back. Flex, magnaflow cat, offset magnaflow muffler, all SS and a bunch of mandrel bends.
