Default Blown Fuse

Hi all,

I have a 1991 8v vitara, it is a carby modle (JX). Today i left my lights on which flattened the battery. when I went to jump start the car I put the jumper leads on round the wrong way which has blown the 60 amp fuse next to the battery. (What type of fuses are these?). How do i replace this fuse? it doesnt seem to pull out like the 2 40 amp fuses next to it.

Is there anything else i should check if this doesnt fix the problem?

Cheers

Morgan

It's probably held in - and connected - by a pair of small bolts - look below and to the side, you may have to remove the fuse "panel" to get a wrench on them.

In the old days that would fry the rectifiers in the alternator. Maybe the fuse protected you. Cross your fingers. Best of luck.
