I have a '91 - dont know if set up is the same as yours, but my FSM indicates switch is in steering column. To get to it, you have to remove horn button, steering wheel shaft nut, steering wheel (with puller) upper and lower column covers and access cover, and there you are.
It should be under the dash by your ecu, may be behind it, some are by glove box. If you do a search kick fix had a diagram on here a little while ago.
