'96 Tracker engine remove & replace

My username tells it all. I don't know anything about these vehicles and need some advice about cost and difficulty of pulling a dead motor and replacing.
Also, is a newer model motor swap worth the additional cost and changes?

the motor swaps are easy, the electronics and harneess are not.

its a nice motor now. plenty of power ,reliable. and yours is like mine with OBD2 which is really nice so you can log data on the EFI.

unless you go to 2 Liters, or 2.5L V6 or extreme like a TDI 2.0L
id stay where you are.
you need a 96-98 motor .
