Question Intake Humming

For any kick gurus out there i have a 94 sidekick 1.6 16v auto 4wd, i took out the stock air filter and put a short ram filter, after the air censer.Ever since theres been a crazy loud hum coming from the intake manifold.
Someone told me it had something to do with a air pressure censer in the manifold itself. Any suggestions are appreciated!!!!

id put it back, just put mine back and now it is water tight again and no more silly hollowing sound or MAF ($600 each) bouncing like those mexican dogs is rear of some cars.
if you mess up that MAF , you will be real mad.

price one. aka air meter, mass air flow sensor.

only at wide open throttle , all other settings of the throttle are unaffected by the stock pipes.
the butterly plate in the throttle body is restricting the most air.
the long stock pipe also gives more low end torque.

id just keep intake stock and if you must put in a low flow air filter that fits the stock setup. the stock ,has parts that let the air flow smoothly thru the MAF.
and stops water and splashes, dirt from street, and brings in cold air from under the left front fender.
yours is sucking in hot dirty air. (looks cute but better, better is cowl plumbing see next post)
and you took off the air modulator .too. The MAF needs that to. smooths the natural pulsation of a typ. 4 cylinder motor

cheers.

edited out my midnight rush home post. slow, i know

you want free boost?
just fab up a hose from the below wipers cowling to that that input tube on the factory air cleaner. now you have real cold are and it is forced are moving.

guaranteed results, and the faster you go the more results.

look inside the chamber where the windshield internal arms reside.
see that, that is under pressure there, Keep air vents closed for more power.

on the Miata forum the measured 5HP. not bad for $5 pipe.
must bet tested on a track , cant do that on a dyno,

cut cowling hole, put it up high so no water can enter new pipe.
make sure cowling vents holes left and right side are not full of leaves.

that is it.

see that flat windshield, its an air scoop too.

Flyin' Miata 1 800 FLY MX5s

btw , evey mod , tested there , no bull.

dyno run base line.
change
repeat dyno run, same atmospherics (pressure and temps) ,sameday.

not perfect science but , if you can get numbers greater than the natural errors in a dyno (etc) then pop eyes out.

many AIR mods are best wth a TURBO motor. (synergy)

the above test is near impossble with a fan. needs track tests.
