Question missing clip

I have a 91 tracker lsi. Ever since I bought it was doggy. Had recent
repairs to clutch fan and timing checked. Ran good for a week but lost power
again. Mechanic told me I am missing a clip for the timing belt. Anyone know where to get this piece?

lick my timing belt page.
tell us what a clip is.
91 8v,

and did you know, SUzuki has all these parts.
GM is dead. for get GM. (gov. motors)
last 10 calls ,no parts for any zuks. YMMV.

timing belt swap

see last photo of tbelt.
unless he means the crankshaft keyway is a clip, nah , no mech would call a keyway a clip.

springs, levers and studs. nuts, bolts, idler, belt. cover , gaskets, and cogs.

pick one.

your mech dont have parts runner? with suzuki dealer ship near?

Default missing clip

Thanks for the info. I believe it is the spring that is missing.
Can I order that from Suzuki?

this spring sets the tension ,just before you lock it done , valve lifters free.

$2.34

it is a crutial setting, and dictates the life span on the belt.

Unhappy spring and bracket

I am missing both the spring and part #7 in your diagram.
Is part #7 also available thru Suzuki?

I have had the timing set without these twice with the same results-it becomes boggy and weak. Checked compression, intakes etc,

Are these 2 parts that critical to get it running right?
