...bout to do a timing belt job. water pump works great but looks 100 years old. i can afford the ac delco water pump the dealer offers. anyone had any experience with this brand of water pump? I hate aftermarket parts. the GM pump is 208 plus tax. i'm not trying to put 800 into the job. it's a little tempting to just leave the original on, but 171000 miles? it's a little creepy. thanks for any advice. jason...
you guys are my best pals! thanks for saving me so much cash. Auto Parts Software - TradeMotion Dealer Websites is a new water pump? it's a 96 2door usa model, looks to be the 60815. also, the tensioner... should i get the $50 one? gates has a package on rock auto for $26, belt and tensioner. i'd love to save a few bucks, but i wouldn't put any autozone parts that deep in the motor... i'm also not 100% sure which thermostat to put in. thanks again for sharing all the great advice. jason.
Jerry that worries me, I replaced my first one with a rebuilt one and this other tracker had already one replaced... they have been going strong so far and I drive the hell out of the 4x4. :P
