Default Starting trouble

so my car is cranking over, but not as fast as it should be. I just replaced the starter and the cables coming off the battery with no luck. After cranking it a couple times the wires on the starter start to smoke a bit. The car is a suzuki sidekick 1991 1.6 tbi.

new starter,
and
Brand new battery cables? too ?

what wires smoke, no way you smoked those huge battery cables. I dont believe that.

91 TBI
the negative battery cable starts at the minus terminal of the battery and attaches
to the top mounting bolt of the starter
came that way , new. ( no other connections allowed, only direct to starter , can answer why)
if that cable is bad all the body ground wires will burn.

want to fix it , lets test it.
throwning parts rarely works.

here are the critical grounds.

common-failures

here is the no crank page.

slow cranking , can be a bad battery.
but it can just as equally be a resistave or bad power distrution system.

easy as pie , after 18years.

no crank or smoke crank.

there key word, what exactly is getting hot.
starter casing.

if true engine is mostly likely hydra-locked. or plain seized. (bad ring gear , rare)

remove spark plugs , see what happens while cranking.

green juice flying and fast crank speed.

this is 8v and is free running motor so no valve jammed to pistons.

or much worse.
