As far as changing it over, I've never done it. But, considered it. The process should be pretty easy I'd think.
Remove the stock steering box and possibly the shaft going to the column.
Install new steering box, pump & resevoir, (and shaft?) and more than likely (not sure) swap out the pulley on the engine so it accepts turning the additional belt.

Ok. Sounds like a job I can do. I wish I had a picture of what the setup with power steering looks like - showing where everything goes.

There was a recent thread (within the past month or so??) with photos of the power steering set up. I think the question was how to set the tension on the PS belt.
Hell, I've seen other rigs like mine driving through town. I just get up along side of them and ask them if they'd pull over so I can check out theirs. They all pulled over. We'd stand there and talk for awhile most of the times. I looked at several Sidekicks that had hardtops that way so I could get a good idea of what I needed to do to get mine installed. Mine had a soft top previously. Don't be shy. Grab your camera and take it along with you
