I do not advocate of shot gunning or guessing or working with out tools/meters/scopes but I will help you the best I can! I can't see or hear/feel your motor, so consider my answers, in that light.

There are 2 diagnostic paths, one with tools and one without! Please advise which path you wish to take?

can you tell me the napa pn, so (echlin. is one brand)? i see 3 parts on line.

i'll actually send the maker a question why it dont match OEM Mitsubishi spec.

answers can be cute. like who sold you the wrong part. or can you send photo of bottom of unit ( quality control issue?)

some times they send free parts cuz they are so in shame.

How to set ignition timing

Bosch even brags about theirs fitting, funny that......

and for you and the others.

i did this to Gate rubber once. they sell a top rad hose for Kicks ,that would only fit
a Blue Goose school bus. they told me their Brazil plant is putting wrong lables on hoses. i got 2 free hoses .
