Default Vitara Cuts Out

Hi all. I have a UK 1998 2.0 V6 Automatic 5 door Vitara. Aside from a few annoying electrical issues it's in great condition except for one thing: ocassionally, when reducing down to really slow speeds the revs fall away and the engines stalls. It always restarts immediately and doesn't always do it. The engine idles at 800 rpm which increases to about 1000 rpm when I turn the air con on which I think is about right. Just to stress, this doesn't always happen and I can go whole journeys without it occurring and then the next time it will happen 5 times in the first couple of minutes. Annoying more than anything but not fun when it happens going around a roundabout!! Grateful for any thoughts.

Default

could be TPS bad or out of cal
it will get noisey as the carbon strip inside begins to get thin.
with it drops out , the ECU will drop idle controls and car will die.

or the ISC is sticky.

if you can keep it going with a feathered foot, then the EGR is not leaking.

you have electric, EGR and ISC. next to each other.

if it were mine , id clean the ISC so it is spotless in inside.
if that fixes it great.

if not the TPS may be on the way out.

i do no thave the book on a SV620,
you TPS has 3 pins (i think)
and on pins 1 and 2 , the resistance must read 20 ohms at idle , key OFf.
pull connector.
put meter on pins 1 and 2
blip (flip) throttle .

it must go high then drop to 20 ohms (in the general area of 20 ohms)

the important issues is it must not go real high like 500 , 1000, 2000, or infinity.

pin 1 is on top of TPS. (on throttle body. with body to your left)

the calibration is :

.35v to .65v at idle , key on, at pins 1 and 2.
adjust tps to middle of this range is best.

if tps is bad, the voltage will intermittantly rises up above .65v.
with this happens ECU , drops all idle controls
