zuki4mo is on a distinguished road
Default 95 suzuki sidekick ignition problems

Hi all, new here, looks like a great place.
Problem:
Zuk won't start.
When I turn the key to the crank position I lose all electrical power. When I turn halfway sometimes I have electrical sometimes I don't. I have new battery and have tested connections, also tested ignition coil and igniter.
any help is greatly appreciated.

Might be a defective ignition switch. Have you tested it?

Sorry if it sound silly but if you are having a manual shift, you need to step on the clutch when you crank. As you didn't mentioned whether did you just buy it so it is good that I mention this feature to you before further troubleshooting.

tranny is what?

turn on HL (headlights) doe they stay one or dime or go out , in start position.

elaborate on loss of power.

common is bad corrosion on finder right , fuse main box.
very common.
or just a bad battery or cables.
