Default Looking for the "right" radiator

Hey all. I have a 94 sidekick, 16v eng. auto with dealer add on a/c. I'm on my 2nd radiator from Autozone now and still haven't been able to change out my leaking rad. The first one (they had this one in stk) was @ 2 inches to tall. The 2nd one was right on the height (had to be ordered) but the bottom tank is @ 1-1.5 inches to wide. These are the only 2 choices for a rad from all the sources I can find. Any thoughts???

common problem.
that is because there are many sizes and they dont have them all.

been there ,done that.
got mine from 0'riellies after 2 tries and 1 online. 3 times!

trick was to measure core height and width.
and not order anything until they fessed up on that spec. (confessed)

gets em, every time.

trick 2 is never order MT radaitor, hens teeth and cost more than AT RAD.
just order all MT rads as AT. save the grief (for others reading)

exclusive of AT/MT
there are 2door and 4 door versions.
then 16v and 8v version. IN USA(n.america.) 4 permutations.
how ever 8v is common on 2dr and 16 on 4dr. but not always.

also be careful of wrong diameter (OD) of water couplings. saw some that are too big.

heaver car, bigger motor, bigger RAD.

never buy unless the order page has the specs.

While we find your parts, please enter your ZIP Code at CSK Auto

here they do.

but. you can see even they car clueless as to what fits your car.
so they let you guess.

sadly.

cheers.

i think ,my 91 8v 2door took the Cu1118 rad. so that would be wrong for you. IIRC.

the CU numbers are very common.

the spectra was canadian but is now China made. and was nice quality (surprise)but the origional cap wont fit. so had Oriellys match up (trail and error) to Toyota cap, Stant.

so dont leave with out new cap.

all the best.

Hey and thanks for the knowledge and sitelink. I saved that one. I have a egr issue on my car and am thinking I really need to address it. I'll check O/reilley's on the rad

Thanks again
