I've got the manuals to troubleshoot with, but decided to ask. I've got a 1998 Suzuki Sidekick 2dr 2WD convertible.
When I'm driving down the road cruising on the highway, or anywhere actually. Higher speeds make it more noticeable. My sidekick feels like something is flexing in the front end. There's no noises or anything of that nature that might lead me to anything. On flat ground, I grabbed the top of the wheel on both front wheels and gave then several tugs outwards. Nothing loose there. I also grabbed the wheels in the forward most and back most parts and tugged on them that way. Still nothing loose. I raised the front off the ground to see if there was anything abnormal or loose, tugging on everything in every way possible. I couldn't find anything wrong. I then lowered the front of the vehicle to where the tires were 2" off the ground, and slid a long bar underneath. I lifted up on the bar to see if there was any movement on the spindles in any way. Again, nothing. All was tight.
Now this gets me to thinking. I know that some years have the bar that goes from strut-to-strut under the hood in the engine compartment. I am thinking that something is flexing, causing the front end to wander.
The alignment seems good so I'm not suspecting that
Anyone have any ideas what could be causing this??
